“Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds you plant”
The English Learning Centre is due to open to students in September 2012 in a brand new purpose built school in Luang Prabang.
We shall provide lessons at beginner, intermediate and (from our second year) at advanced levels on a charitable basis and provide students who reach the required standard with a certificate. Each class will be for between 12 and 15 students and we hope to teach initially about 80 students a year.
Whilst the primary objective is to teach English, we hope that as things evolve we will be able to run other classes in subjects like IT.
The Centre will be staffed by the Centre Director assisted by two part time teachers. Volunteers will assist the teaching staff in teaching as well as help with administrative work.
Classrooms
3 main class rooms to cater for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels.
Study/Library
Apart from a small library, the room will be fitted out with computers, desks and chairs in order to provide a proper area for study outside of the classroom.
Teachers/Administration
A room to cater for the full-time and voluntary teachers, along with the school administration.
