New Hospitality Training Course

On Friday, LEOT took a group of 13 students for some first-hand
experience at working in a restaurant. These students are studying
English, specifically for working in a café or restaurant, to help them
get future work in hospitality.

At Belle Rive, the Restaurant Manager took time to show us how to
greet and welcome customers, set the tables and how waiters/
waitresses should serve drinks and food correctly and ensure
customers received the best service.

We also visited The Bakery Café, where students were able to
practise reading from a menu, taking drinks orders, serving and then
taste some delicious mango and sticky rice desert.

Our LEOT Hospitality course is taught over 1 semester and when
completed, students will receive a list of competencies that they
achieved during the course.

Our second Hospitality course will begin in January.
