Background Submission
Chansamai wishes to pursue environmental studies because she is impassioned about helping to preserve Lao Culture. She wishes to learn more so that she can help Laos people become more aware about the importance of protecting and preserving the environment for the future betterment of their country. Chansamai is a very active participant in activities organized for Environment Day in Luang Prabang. She is also a very conscientious student and does very well in her school subjects. Each evening during the school term she attends a special English language course to improve her language skills. Subsequently she has become very proficient at speaking and writing and is often called upon by her peers for translation. In this regard she has inspired other CCC students to study other languages and to work hard at their studies.
