As we approach our 17th Birthday it’s good to report that we are growing and helping many disadvantaged people.

The LEOT School is our largest activity and teaches English and Computer Studies to 250 students from disadvantaged families.

Our Scholarship programme started in 2006 and has helped over 150 students achieve their dream of further education in Laos colleges or universities. Most become teachers; we also number a dentist and an air traffic controller in our graduates. We continue to help at least 20 students each year.

The LEOT Sewing School runs 2 intensive sewing courses each year to assist disadvantaged women to start careers in the tailoring industry. ach course provides places for 20 students. Our recently completed workroom opened in May 2022 providing additional intensive training for classes of 10 trainees. Each course will run for up to six months.

Our Community support programme continues to build  rural 3 and 5 room school Schools in rural deprived villages. We will complete our eighth School in the next couple of weeks and will commence the building of our ninth school next month

LEOT is funded completely by donation, bank charges are our only external cost as our volunteers and Trustees receive no salary. To help us please visit our donate page or email peter@leot.org.uk
